Campaign Management

Send bulk templates and promotions to your customers.

Campaigns let you send personalized messages to hundreds or thousands of contacts at once. Because we use the official WhatsApp API, you can send broadcasts with interactive buttons to customers who have opted-in to receive messages.


1. Creating Message Templates

Meta requires that all business-initiated messages (campaigns sent outside the 24-hour customer reply window) use pre-approved Message Templates.

Steps to Create a Template:

  1. Go to CampaignsTemplates and click Create Template.
  2. Choose a category: Marketing (promotions, offers) or Utility (receipts, delivery updates).
  3. Enter your message body. You can use merge placeholders for personalization (e.g., Hi {{1}}, your order {{2}} is ready!).
  4. Add interactive buttons:
    • Quick Reply: Text buttons (e.g., "Yes, please", "Unsubscribe").
    • Call to Action: Direct URL links or phone triggers (e.g., "Visit Website", "Call Now").
  5. Click Submit for Approval. Meta's automated systems usually approve templates in under 2 minutes.

2. Setting Up an Audience List

You can target your campaign using customer lists:

  • Filter by Tags: Send only to contacts tagged with specific labels (e.g., "VIP Customers", "Lagos Leads").
  • Import CSV: Upload a list of phone numbers and custom merge variables.
  • Opt-in Guidelines: Make sure your list contains contacts who have consented to hear from your business. Sending unsolicited spam will lower your Meta quality rating and trigger temporary blocks.

3. Launching and Scheduling

Once your template is approved and your audience is selected, configure the launch details:

  1. Navigate to CampaignsCreate Campaign.
  2. Select your approved Meta template and map your placeholders (e.g., link parameter {{1}} to the contact's name).
  3. Choose to Send Now or Schedule for a future date and time (e.g., next Friday at 10:00 AM WAT).
  4. Click Launch.

[!TIP] The system automatically handles WhatsApp's rate-limiting queues. Your messages will stream smoothly to avoid server overloading, and you can pause or cancel active campaign queues at any time from the dashboard.
