AI Conversations
Configure, test, and activate 24/7 automated support for your customers.
The AI Conversation module lets you train a smart assistant that handles the bulk of your incoming WhatsApp inquiries. This page details how to upload data, set up instructions, and test your chatbot.
Data Sources: How to Train Your AI
To train your AI agent, go to AI Settings → Knowledge Base. The AI learns from three sources:
1. Business Outline
Write a general overview of your business. Include your business name, address, hours, primary services, and key selling points. Keep this to 200-500 words.
2. FAQ Grids
Use our interactive FAQ builder to add question-and-answer pairs:
- Question: "Do you deliver on Sundays?"
- Answer: "No, we only deliver Monday through Saturday, between 9 AM and 6 PM."
3. Document Uploads
Upload brochures, pricing lists, manuals, or terms as files:
- Supported Formats:
.pdf,.txt,.docx,.csv. - Size Limit: Max 10MB per file.
Tuning the Personality
Customize your assistant's behavior under the AI Settings tab:
- AI Name: Choose a name (e.g., "Amaka" or "AutomateIt Bot").
- Tone of Voice: Select Casual, Friendly, or Professional.
- Custom Instructions: Provide explicit rules. For example:
- "Never give discounts unless asked."
- "Always mention that price is in Nigerian Naira."
- "Do not answer queries unrelated to our real estate portfolio."
Testing in the Playground
Before deploying the chatbot to your live customers, use the AI Playground simulator:
- Type queries in the chat emulator.
- Review the AI's response.
- Inspect the Sources tab beneath the message to see which exact document or FAQ the AI used to formulate its answer.
- If the answer is incorrect, adjust your document files or FAQ entries, click Re-train, and try again.
Activating Live
To push the AI chatbot live to your customers:
- Go to the Channels tab.
- Find your connected WhatsApp number.
- Toggle Enable AI Chatbot to ON.
- The bot is now live and will reply to any new incoming messages within 2 seconds.
